'Indian Trail' Sign

According to the June 4th Milton Times, the Milton Historical Commission researched and restored the 'Indian Trail' sign at the corner of Adams Street and Churchill's Lane in Milton. The sign, one of four original signs place around town in 1930, reads:

1630/1930
Indian Trail
Churchill's lane when the Indians sold their land
near the mouth of the Neponset River they removed to the territory south of the Blue Hills, which they called Ponkapoag, sweet water.
