Volunteer to Help the Park!

Take a few hours to help improve the trails for the park we all love! We'll supply clippers and shovels, and together we will cut back branches, pick up trash and perhaps dig mounds to help prevent erosion. Meet at Houghton's Pond main parking lot on Hillside Street in Milton. To register call: 781-828-1805.

Eliot Tower - Clean-up, learning and fun!

Meet at Eliot Tower on top of Blue Hill for a morning of restoration, education and celebration of Eliot Tower, one of the Civilian Conservation Corps' finest achievements in the Blue Hills. Friends of the Blue Hills will be leading a morning clean up effort of the Tower and the surrounding area beginning at 9:00, followed by a discussion of the work of the CCC over a bag lunch at Noon. Sharing in the discussion will be an original member of the CCC. Call 781-828-1805 for more information.
'Preserve the Beauty' Photo Contest
Don't forget to enter your photos in FBH's 'Preserve the Beauty' Photo Contest. The September 15 is fast approaching! Cash prize awarded to youth (18 and under) and adults (19 and above).
